How your data is handled

This app reads the health data already in Health Connect and shows it against the goals you set. There are no accounts. The app is paid for by a single banner ad at the bottom of the home screen, and your health data is never used for it. Your health data stays on this device; the only things that leave it are the ad request and the crash and usage reporting described below.

What it reads

For the metrics you pick in the app, it reads either the latest reading or the total for the current day from Health Connect. Metrics you have not picked are not read. It never writes anything to Health Connect, and it does not ask for reproductive health or medical record access.

What it is used for

The values are used to work out the gap to your goal and how far along you are, and to show that in the app and in the home screen widget. They are not used for anything else.

Where it is stored

The last value read, together with the start values, goals and metric choices you enter, is stored only in this app's own storage on this device. Keeping the last value lets the widget go on showing something when a refresh cannot read. Cloud backup is turned off, so none of it is copied off the device. Deleting the app deletes it.

What leaves the device

Health data read from Health Connect is not sent to any server, not shared with or sold to anyone including the developer, and not used for ads or analytics. For crash reports and to see which features are used, the app does use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics, which send technical details to Google: where a crash happened, the device model and OS version, the app version, which screens were opened, how many metrics you picked and the widget style. Measurements, start and goal values, progress, measurement times, source app names and which metrics you picked are not sent. In the EEA and the UK you are asked for consent before any of this happens; declining on that dialog stops this reporting as well as the ads, and you can change your choice later under Ad settings in this app.

The home screen shows one banner ad from Google AdMob. Nothing read from Health Connect goes into the ad request: no measurements, no start or goal values, no progress, no metric types, no measurement times and no source app names. No keywords, custom targeting or content URLs are set either. Google Play's health policy forbids using Health Connect data for ads, and this app does not do it. To serve the ads and to detect invalid clicks, Google receives the usual technical details plus this device's advertising ID, which is also what makes frequency capping and your system-level opt-out of ad personalisation work. In the EEA and the UK you are asked for consent before any of that happens, and you can change your choice later under Ad settings in this app. Usage reporting is kept apart from the ad stack: it does not collect the advertising ID and its data is not passed on for ad personalisation.

What you control

You can withdraw read access at any time in Health Connect settings; after that, no new values are read. What is stored on this device goes away when you clear the app data or uninstall the app. The health data held in Health Connect itself can be deleted from Health Connect.
